Our tech writer has a blog at

which might be of interest .. it's a neat place to
find the Programmer's Reference Manual
for FORTRAN56 (IBM 704 EDPM ) .

There were no Sun machines in 1956 of course, and I personally
am glad our standard no longer has language to explain
        IF ACCUMULATOR OVERFLOW 30, 40
        IF QUOTIENT OVERFLOW 30, 40
        IF DIVIDE CHECK 30, 40
