[SCC_Active_Members] Videotapes being discarded - CHM want?

Friends and colleagues,

I think the tapes will be extremely valuable.

Tapes are quite vulnerable to decay. Flakes of magnetic material
are much more vulnerable than DVD materials (especially the latest,
with more gold, I think that's the chemistry).

If you just store the tapes, my guess is that you'll have possibly  
just a decade of
usefulness left in them.

I am not a preservation expert, and I am sure CHM has more than one  
in house.
