Bernard -- It seems to me that SCC has a corner on the collection and
indexing of primary material, the very material that Wikipedia
doesn't want. However wikipedians the world over would be happy to
tell in plain language the story that these materials have to tell,
and they have the audience. Even better, the SCC related material
that Wikipedians produce is pre-licensed to be included in SCC
exhibits. What a wonderful alignment of interests.

We would do well to inform Wikipedians as to the resources available
through the SCC and likewise the collectors should be aware of the
continuing historical work collecting on Wikipedia. I recommend the
CHM host a joint workshop where the two groups learn about the
strengths and weakness of each community. An agenda could include:

	1. Audience. Who is serving whom and for how long?
	2. License. Who gets to see what, when and where?
	3. Methods. How do we play to each other's strengths?
	4. Identity. How much can we share while staying ourselves in the
world's mind?

There is probably something in there about funding models but I will
leave that as an extension of #4. Both Wikipedia and CHM have
infrastructure that they have to keep working.

Best regards. -- Ward
