The Google Stanford library likely scan of the ACM books is an interesting
point.

Subject: [SCC_Active_Members] Babbage Institute reprints versus CHM Library

The Charles Babbage Institute Reprint Series has
published 16 books thorugh MIT Press.
Eight (8) are currently out of print.

The CHM library has four (4) of the reprints, and
one (1) original book.

I recently purchased one of the books for my
personal collection, a title not in CHM's library.
The Moore School Lectures edited by Martin
Campbell-Kelly and Michael R. Williams.

If CHM is interested in a famous computer book
reprint series, this would be a great place to
start, given our relationships with the Institute.

With regard to the ACM's two lists, I suggest that
we suggest to Google to do the scanning; I assume
most of the books are in Stanford's libraries and
Google is working with them already.

Randall.
