[SCC_Active_Members] Use Cases for the Software Archive

Hi,

It was suggested that there should be some use cases relating to the
needs of the museum archive. Here are a couple.

Use Case A

A researcher is accessing a programming manual that has been scanned
in to the virtual archive. On page 76 there appears to be a hole in
an example that is critical for his work. The researcher gains
access to the physical archive, and discovers that a small scrap of
paper was stuck to the original document, and underneath that scrap
the text was still intact. The museum staff re-scans that page so
that future researchers will see the full text.

Use Case B

A researcher is reading a scanned document in the year 2048. Due to
poor contrast on the page, she is having some problems reading a
portion of the text. Knowing that scanner technology has advanced
substantially in the 40 years since the document was scanned, she
works with the museum staff to re-scan the document. The result is
a much clearer document. This is placed in the archive as a
replacement for the original document.
