FWIW, Doug Ross was my neighbor in Lexington for
about two decades, until he moved to the Brookhaven
facility, and in later years he spoke to me more than
once about his efforts to sort through his papers for
donation. (He explained with great glee how he had
rented a fairly large amount of empty office/warehouse
space so that he could make dozens or hundreds of
piles as he sorted.) Anyway, my point is that he had
thought ahead about this and took proactive measures
to prepare for donation. I also know that his daughter
Jane (who is also a friend of mine, and who worked at
Thinking Machines Corporation for a while when I did)
assisted him with some of the sorting. I don't know
where he directed his donations or what is their current
status, but anyone who wants to make discreet inquiries
after a suitable period of time would probably do well
to talk to either his daughter Jane or his wife Pat.
