}Folks,
Last week, I sent out a flyer announcing my upcoming History of
Computing class this fall semester at San Jose State University. The
flyer is now online at
http://www.cs.sjsu.edu/~mak/HistoryOfComputing.pdf [1]
Thank you very much, all of you who responded with project ideas and
offers to be advisors to my students and especially volunteers to give
guest lectures!
Some system administrator at the university picked a most
inopportune time to accidentally close my school e-mail account
ron.mak at sjsu.edu. I've been told that since Monday afternoon, messages
sent to me have bounced with an "account does not exist" message.
So I apologize if you tried to respond to me this week. I don't know
when my school mail account will be fixed, so in the meantime, please
use my personal address: ron at apropos-logic.com [2]
I'll look forward to more project suggestions and volunteers!
 -- Ron
P.S. This is definitely related: San Jose State University is
looking for a new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
