[SPG_Active_Members] British newspaper article (perhaps of interest)

What follows is forwarded after eliding my source trail.

Thought you might find this item of interest, which a friend sent to me, if
only to emphasize how far computing technology has come in the last 60+
years. This video clip displays an early 'decotron' computer based on the
decimal system, as opposed to today's computers which are based upon the
binary system. For those of you familiar with the old telephone switch
systems, there appear to be Step-by-Step (SxS) canisters mounted in some of
the equipment racks - which would make a whole lot of sense since the
machine was based upon the decimal system. Enjoy!

Here's an oldie that has some familiarity to it, although not in our
particular field, it rings an old bell, with it's sounds and
programming....nice to see that it will now sit in Bletchley Park in a
museum!
