Here is the internal document that capm tures the overall approach to our museum catalog and digitization efforts. Essentially our approach is to create a database using international standards (e.g. Dublin Core) as well as a file naming structure that will allow access (e.g. google) seperate from the database. The approach outlined in this document is already underway, with all historical CHM databases already converted and current cataloguing in sync. As a sample of our database looks via a web interface, please see our prototype for a portion of the collection related to the IBM 7030 Stretch.
