Margaret, How many 7-track tapes do you want to read-in? If it's only a few, you might try contacting Paul Pierce. Paul has a sophisticated setup for reading old 7-track tapes, as you can see from his web site: http://www.piercefuller.com/collect/proj.html Although I can not speak for his availability (!), he was recently able to successfully read a 40-year-old 7-track tape for the CHM's 1401 restoration project. Although the Musuem's resotration team may be able to read the data at some time, we might not be able to get it to the media that you need. Others from that team may have more probing questions.
