Let me fill in a couple of details the article missed:<br><br>
1. The largest collection of game software in the world is at
Stanford (over 25K titles). I'm familiar with Warren Spector's
efforts at UT Austin, and we are working with them.<br><br>
2. There will be a funded national (U.S.) game preservation project
starting 1 Jan. 2008. I'll send along details as soon as the
official announcement is made -- we have to wait for the official news
release.<br><br>
3. However, there has been enough information in the press about project
(2) that the writer for the Guardian should have been able to sniff it
out.<br><br>
4. The Digital Game Canon project will feed into the effort, and we hope
to continue that program next year at GDC.
