Another candidate SW base for CHM digital repository

I was recently talking with John Sowa (among other accomplishments, J.S. is
author of Knowledge representation: logical, philosophical, and
computational foundations, 2000. ISBN 0-534-94965-7--a book that is
pertinent to thinking about long-term digital preservation) about a topic
related to CHM considerations.
In this conversation, he suggested candidate content management software
that I had not heard of, as follows:
"If you are looking for an open-source software platform for CHM, you might
take a look at Gnowsys: <http://www.gnu.org/software/gnowsys/>
http://www.gnu.org/software/gnowsys/
"This is based on Zope and uses Python as its language. Its single most
useful feature is a high-performance object-oriented database. The chief
designer, Nagarjuna, has avoided RDF for internal use in Gnowsys, but he has
support for XML-based notations for data interchange. Following is the
Gnowledge home page (it's in India where the power often goes down, but it
was up this morning): <http://www.gnowledge.org/>
http://www.gnowledge.org/
"Since Zope is already robust and reliable, you could consider Gnowsys as
Zope+ with a free OODB (or you could use MySQL or PostgreSQL for an RDB)."
The context was a discussion of what a cultural heritage institution might
need to know about competitive content management offerings (including
DSpace, Fedora, and Greenstone) to make a choice of the best base for an
implementation of its own repository.
Question: does any SCC member have sufficient knowledge of this SW to
endorse it? (I do expect to take at least a cursory peek at it, but my
doing so is not likely to occur in the near future.)
Best wishes, Henry
