I find lots of links to the project... but no links to the actual
content of the BBC Domesday re-interpreted for the web,
other than a few screenshots presumably from some custom software.
I realize that the Domesday discs were interactive things and not
just simple flat documents; I'm not looking for the binary data
from the laserdics but for the Domesday disc navigable over the web
to reach the information stored in it and presented on the web.
Was the navigation method so completely
different than anything done on the web today that the concept of
"Domesday browsable on the web" is a non-starter?
I think that domesday1986.com, may have been the closest to what I expect...
but that's offline now and again I'm not having any luck getting to the
actual data through archive.org.
Tim.
